Our Oil & gas industry client is looking for a Sr Financial Analyst with strong legal entity reporting experience. This is a year contract role with hybrid work style 4 days a week on site in Calgary.

Responsibilities: 
  • Coordinate the compilation and accurate preparation of various Canadian and US legal entity financials statements and note disclosures in accordance with IFRS for compliance and governance purposes.
  • Work closely with Business Units and the Tax team to support the preparation of the legal entity financial statements.
  • Support legal entity statement review and audit engagements with Cenovus's external auditors, as required.
  • Implement efficiencies and look for ways to improve processes, including the migration of legal entity financial statements to Workiva.
  • Work closely with Accounting Research to resolve any reporting and disclosure matters on a timely basis, including changes to IFRS.
  • Assist with the preparation and review of tax step memos, as required.
  • Other reporting duties and projects, as required.

Qualifications:

  • Must have at least 8+ years of experience as a Financial Analyst
  • Oil & gas Industry experience is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS Standards
  • Experience with Workiva strongly preferred
