UI/UX Designer

Our client, a Top 5 Bank in Canada is looking to hire a UI/UX Designer to their team for an initial 6 months of contract with possibility to extend/convert. This role is currently hybrid in Toronto.

Responsibilities Include:

Play a pivotal role in enhancing the Bank's Direct Investing app, iTrade, for both iOS and Android platforms.
Collaborate with a cross-functional team of product managers, engineers, fellow designers, content producers, and researchers to craft best-in-class digital experiences.
Translate customer feedback, stakeholder insights, and analytics into actionable design improvements.
Engage in design thinking to tackle complex challenges, seeking simple, elegant solutions.
Utilize expertise in Material Design 3 and Apple's Human Interface Guidelines to create intuitive, user-centric designs.
Apply deep understanding of typography, grid systems, visual hierarchy, and color theory to produce aesthetically pleasing and functional designs.

Must have Qualifications
5+ years of experience as a product designer.
3-5 years of recent professional experience with iOS and Android mobile app product design should have worked on at leaast 1 native mobile product.
Formal Design Education required.
Strong demonstrated experience with visual design/UI.
Experience having worked in a large product team (with researchers, product managers, engineers, designers).
Nice to have Qualifications

2+ years of experience with Figma.
Financial Institution/Banking experience.
Animation experience.
