Senior Business Analyst - Finance Reporting Transformation (Contract)

Our client, a large financial institution, is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support a Finance reporting transformation initiative focused on asset under management reporting. This role is hybrid and is in office 3 days a week.

Key Responsibilities include the following; 
  • Document current and future state processes across Lines of Business (LoBs)
  • Gather and document business, functional, and data requirements through stakeholder engagement and workshops
  • Assess impacts to reporting processes, systems, and data structures
  • Collaborate with business and technology teams to resolve gaps and clarify requirements
  • Support data quality assessments, data lineage documentation, and identification of automation opportunities
  • Create key project artifacts including BRDs, process documentation, test cases, acceptance criteria, and UAT defect logs
  • Participate in testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Deliverables include the following; 
  • Business Requirements Document (BRD)
  • Current and Future State Process Documentation
  • Data Lineage and Data Quality Assessments
  • Test Strategy, Test Plans, and UAT Documentation
  • Documentation of automation and system architecture options
To be considered for this role, our client is looking for someone with the following skills/qualifications; 
  • 5+ years as a BA within Finance / Financial Services
  • Strong systems implementation and data analysis experience
  • Excellent stakeholder management and documentation skills
