Mid-Size Public Accounting Firm

Our reputable mid size Accounting Firm client is looking to add a Senior Accountant to their team. This is a full-time permanent role with benefits and a hybrid work model. This role will primarily focus on leading audit engagements. 

Responsibilities for the Senior Accountant include the following; 

• Lead audit and review engagements for a diverse portfolio of private and owner-managed clients
• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with IFRS and ASPE, ensuring compliance with professional standards
• Work directly with clients to resolve accounting and audit issues while building strong professional relationships
• Mentor junior staff, review work completed by team members, and support engagement planning and execution
• Assist managers and partners with file completion, client deliverables, and year-end reporting

To be considered for this role, our client is looking for someone with the following skills/qualifications; 

• 3-4 years of public accounting experience with a strong focus on audit engagements
• Hands-on experience preparing and auditing financial statements under both IFRS and ASPE
• CPA designation or successful completion of the CFE required
• Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple client engagements
