This is a critical role for the accounting team which will support various functions. Our client is looking to hire quickly on this position. This critical role reports to Manager, Corporate Reporting and is responsible for the following duties:
- Various types of balance sheet account journal entries
- Supporting the month end close process
- Support Treasury functions including high yield bonds and financing activities
- Supporting audit process
In this role as Senior Accountant, the Manager is looking for someone that possesses a very strong background in Accounting and Analysis. To be considered for this role and to be successful in this role, it is crucial and required that you have the following:
- At least 5 years' experience with the Full cycle month end close process
- Strong Analytical skills
- Very good experience using mid size accounting systems i.e. Sage, Great Plains etc.
- Advanced MS Excel skills. Have built Macros is a very nice asset in this position
