Our client is a public multi-national major insurance / re-insurance company with operations around the world.  They are looking to add a Senior Accountant for an initial term of 6 months.  There is a very strong potential for this opportunity to either extend longer and/or convert into a full-time role.

As the Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational accounting and analysis/business support.  You will work with the general ledger and sub ledgers to record transactions, review work, etc.  You will play a key role is the month end / period end reporting re preparation of financials, etc. Additionally, you will partner with business units providing value add analysis.

To be considered for this role, our client is looking for someone with the following skills/qualifications;
  • CPA or in the program with experience in insurance and/or re-insurance
  • Ability to go into the office 3 days per week [downtown Toronto]
