Our client, a Top 5 Bank in Canada, is seeking a Project Manager to join their team for a 8-month contract with the possibility of extension or convert. This role is located in Toronto, and follows a hybrid work schedule of 1-2 days per week onsite.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Coordinate project activities, create comprehensive plans to achieve objectives, and oversee the integration of technical tasks.
  • Present and explain proposals, reports, and discoveries to clients.
  • Delegate, supervise, and assess employee performance while ensuring ongoing staff competency development.
  • Evaluate technology, resource requirements, and market trends to assess project feasibility.
  • Collaborate with management, production, and marketing teams to discuss project specifications and procedures.
  • Consult and negotiate with clients to establish project requirements.
  • Provide expertise in project management methodologies, advising the team on integrating both waterfall and agile approaches.
  • Facilitate discovery sessions to define project scope and contribute to roadmap creation, collaborating closely with the data team.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, risks, and status updates.
  • Oversee project transformational design and maintain momentum throughout.
Must-Have Skills:
  • 10+ years of previous experience as a Project Manager/Project Coordinator or related field in the financial industry
  • 7+ years of experience with Agile/Waterfall
  • 5+ years of experience with MS Projects
  • 5+ years of experience with JIRA/CONFLUENCE
  • 5+ years of experience with Clarity  

Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Experience working on projects at big 5 banks in Canada
