An exciting opportunity has become available within a growing Operational Technology team supporting Capital Markets. As the team continues to build out its Product Owner capability, we are seeking an experienced Product Control SME who combines deep operational expertise with strong project delivery skills.

This role is ideal for someone who has built their career within Product Control operations and has since become involved in delivering change initiatives, process improvements, or strategic projects. You'll act as the subject matter expert between operations and technology, helping to drive key initiatives while ensuring business needs are effectively translated into successful outcomes.

This is an initial 12-month contract with a strong possibility of converting to a permanent position as the team continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities include the following; 
  • Act as the Product Control subject matter expert across operational and project initiatives
  • Partner with Technology, Operations, and business stakeholders to deliver strategic change
  • Support the development of Product Owner capabilities within the Operational Technology team
  • Gather, analyse, and document business requirements for project delivery
  • Drive process improvements and operational efficiencies across Product Control
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of technology and process changes
About the Business Area;

The focus will be supporting the Product Control Technology function across Capital Markets. The team is responsible for the daily Profit & Loss (P&L) production and controls process, including:

  • Morning reconciliation of daily trading Profit & Loss
  • Afternoon reconciliation of P&L to the General Ledger (GL) to ensure financial accuracy and integrity
  • Supporting critical financial controls and operational processes within the Capital Markets environment
To be considered for this role, our client is looking for someone with the following skills/qualifications:
  • Strong experience within Product Control Operations including daily trading Profit & Los and  reconciliation of P&L to the General Ledger (GL)
  • Strong knowledge of all capital markets products including Fixed Income, Equities, Fx, Interest Rate, etc.
  • Experience working on projects or change delivery
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • The ability to bridge the gap between business operations and technology teams
  • Experience working with Agile teams or Product Owners is advantageous
