Our client, an insurance company, is seeking a Process Consultant to support the build-out of first line of defense controls within a life insurance company. The role will focus on documenting business processes, identifying control gaps, and creating clear and accurate control documentation within insurance operations. This individual will work closely with the business to gather information and ensure processes are properly documented and aligned with operational risk and compliance expectations.

This role is fully emote.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather information on existing processes and controls.
  • Document first line of defense controls within the life insurance business.
  • Identify gaps and provide recommendations to strengthen control design.
  • Ensure control documentation is clear, accurate, and consistent with best practices.
  • Support business teams in embedding controls into day-to-day processes.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operational risk and compliance teams as required.
Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of internal controls, risk, and process documentation.
  • Accounting or audit background strongly preferred.
  • Experience working within insurance or financial services is an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with business stakeholders to capture information.
  • Strong documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage deliverables in a remote environment.
