Our client, a Top 5 Canadian Bank, is looking to hire a Process Consultant (Business Discovery and Optimization) for a 12-month contract (with potential extension or conversion to FTE). This is a hybrid position based in Toronto.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-depth business analysis and process consultation to support Enterprise Digital & AI Enablement in improving operational and business processes.
  • Identify process inefficiencies, assess impacts, and recommend actionable solutions that enhance client and employee experiences.
  • Develop detailed current and future state process maps to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Facilitate collaboration and brainstorming sessions with cross-functional stakeholders using tools such as FigJam or Mural.
  • Analyze data to extract insights, perform cost-benefit analysis, and support decision-making.
  • Lead or support moderate-complexity initiatives to enhance or optimize business processes, products, or services.
  • Participate in enterprise projects, contributing process engineering expertise and continuous improvement recommendations.
Must-Have Skills:
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in process engineering using Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Visio and Microsoft 365 Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.).
  • 2+ years' experience using collaboration and process mapping tools such as FigJam or Mural.
  • Strong ability to quickly grasp high-level business concepts and translate them into detailed process maps.
  • Proven experience designing future state processes based on ideation and solutioning sessions.
  • Knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques to identify, anticipate, and resolve organizational or process challenges.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Prior experience within Financial Institutions or Banking operations (call centres, back office, or branch processes).
  • Understanding of people change management principles.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
