Our client, a Top 5 bank in Canada is looking to hire a Privacy Consultant to their team for an initial 6-month contract. This role is operating on a hybrid basis, 2 days a week in downtown Toronto. 

Responsibilities Include:
  • Be part of the Privacy Office team where you'll have a meaningful impact on protecting the privacy of our clients and employees.
  • Support the Privacy Office mandate and core strategies primarily in the area of Privacy Governance and advisory and consulting.
  • Primary responsibility for interacting with lines of businesses to understand internal processes sufficient to be able to respond to inquiries related to net new individual privacy rights.
  • Research privacy regulatory changes and assist in interpreting the requirements and impacts.
  • Build relationships and provide support with lines of businesses and risk associates to monitor and support privacy governance.
Qualifications:
  • At least 2-3 years of privacy/legislation experience
  • Privacy, HR, Policy, Consulting, or Customer Service background.
  • University Degree or Diploma in Business Management
  • Strong Legal Research skills
  • Client Service oriented with strong problem solving skills
  • Banking/FI experience
  • CIPP certification or privacy background - Nice to Have
