IFG Pittsburgh is actively recruiting a Payroll and Benefits Administrator / Office Manager that will be responsible for the payroll and benefits function for salaried employees across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution of semi-monthly payrolls. The role manages complex payroll elements, including annual bonuses, profit-sharing contributions, and profit-sharing distributions, and serves as a key partner in maintaining payroll integrity.  In addition to payroll and benefits administration, the position contributes to core accounting activities such as accounts payable, general ledger entries, reconciliations, fixed asset accounting, and payroll-related benefits administration, supporting overall financial operations.

Responsibilities of the Payroll and Benefits Administrator / Office Manager
  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for hourly and salaried employees across multiple legal entities.
  • Ensure accurate and compliant payroll execution, including annual bonus calculations, profit-sharing contributions, and profit-sharing distributions.
  • Maintain payroll records and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable payroll, tax, and reporting requirements.
  • Support payroll-related benefits administration including enrollment and coordination with benefits providers.
  • Process and review general ledger journal entries related to payroll and accounting activities.
  • Perform account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy of payroll, benefits, and related balance sheet accounts.
  • Assist with accounts payable processing, including invoice review and payment support.
  • Maintain and track fixed assets in accordance with company policies.
  • Partner with accounting and finance teams to support month-end and year-end close activities.

Qualifications of the Payroll and Benefits Administrator / Office Manager
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
  • 7+ years of payroll, benefits and general accounting experience
  • Experience processing payroll in ADP Workforce Now
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks and intermediate Excel skills
  • Proven track record of demonstrating attention to detail, analytics, problem solving
  • High level of integrity with ability to manage confidential information.
