Responsibilities of the Payroll and Benefits Administrator / Office Manager
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for hourly and salaried employees across multiple legal entities.
- Ensure accurate and compliant payroll execution, including annual bonus calculations, profit-sharing contributions, and profit-sharing distributions.
- Maintain payroll records and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with applicable payroll, tax, and reporting requirements.
- Support payroll-related benefits administration including enrollment and coordination with benefits providers.
- Process and review general ledger journal entries related to payroll and accounting activities.
- Perform account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy of payroll, benefits, and related balance sheet accounts.
- Assist with accounts payable processing, including invoice review and payment support.
- Maintain and track fixed assets in accordance with company policies.
- Partner with accounting and finance teams to support month-end and year-end close activities.
Qualifications of the Payroll and Benefits Administrator / Office Manager
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
- 7+ years of payroll, benefits and general accounting experience
- Experience processing payroll in ADP Workforce Now
- Knowledge of QuickBooks and intermediate Excel skills
- Proven track record of demonstrating attention to detail, analytics, problem solving
- High level of integrity with ability to manage confidential information.
