Job Type: Contract
Our client, a Top 5 bank in Canada is looking to hire an Intranet Specialist for an initial 12-month contract with a high possibility of extension and conversion. This role is 2-3 days a week in the office in downtown Toronto.

Content Management & Publishing
  • Collaborate with internal teams to prepare and publish intranet content.
  • Analyze, format, and upload documents, images, and news updates to the intranet.
  • Migrate content between publishing systems and ensure urgent messages are posted promptly.
Technical & Design Work
  • Leverage SharePoint Classic & Modern features to enhance the intranet experience.
  • Create engaging production graphics that adhere to branding guidelines.
  • Utilize HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and design tools like Adobe Photoshop & Acrobat for web publishing.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
  • Review content changes for compliance with intranet governance and editorial standards.
  • Perform regular audits to ensure quality, accessibility, and brand consistency.
  • Maintain accurate content change logs for audit and tracking purposes.
Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Engage with business partners to ensure their content needs are met.
  • Review intranet changes made by other specialists for quality control.
  • Lead small projects related to intranet updates and improvements.

Must-Have Skills:
  • 2+ years of SharePoint experience (Classic & Modern environments)
  • Strong technical background (Web publishing, HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Business acumen with the ability to align content with corporate communication goals.

Nice to Have:
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Photoshop, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Dreamweaver
  • Prior work experience in banking or financial services
  • C++ experience (preferred but not mandatory
  • Exposure to insurance industry platforms.
