Group Controller

IFG Pittsburgh is actively recruiting a Group Controller responsible for managing the daily operations of the department to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly statements, financial analysis and budgeting and forecasting including maintaining and enhancing internal controls, systems, and departmental policies. The Group Controller coordinates all aspects of the annual audit, such as audit schedules and variance analysis, and communication with auditors. Additional responsibilities include contributing to special projects and reports, communicating corporate objectives to plant locations, and assisting with annual plant and inventory audits. 

Responsibilities of the Group Controller

• Oversee the day-to-day activities of the Accounting and Controlling department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal / external monthly financial statements, annual audits and annual budgets.
• Assist in establishing and maintaining systems and controls which verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data. Includes but is not limited to updating the Accounting and Controlling department policies and procedures manual on an as needed basis.
• Coordinating and compiling all aspects of the annual audit.  This included but is not limited to the coordination of all account reconciliations, variance analysis reports as well as handling the day to day interface with the audit team.
• Assure compliance with all GAAP guidelines, applicable regulations, policies and procedures.
• Assisting in and coordinating the annual corporate budget.
• Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a wide variety of special reports.
• Communicate corporate objectives to various plants.
• Assist in performing annual audits of various plants to ensure compliance with the company's policies and procedures.

Qualifications of the Group Controller

• Bachelors' degree in accounting, finance or business related discipline.
• CPA preferred
• 8+ years relevant experience
• Proficient on MS Office, Excel, Accounting general ledger software
• Acute attention to detail, Strong organizational skills and a commitment to excellence and high standards
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
