General Accountant

Our client, a pioneer in their field is looking to hire a General Accountant to cover a maternity leave which will go for approximately 15 months.  This company is located in North Burlington and has a hybrid policy with 4 days in office and 1 day work from home.   

Reporting to the Vice President, Finance, the General Accountant, will be responsible for the following;

• Month end close including reconciliations, journal entries and accruals
• Support the Accounts Receivable clerk with collections
• Supporting year end and audits as assigned 

To be considered for this role of General Accountant, our client is looking for someone with the following skills/qualifications;

• 3+ years' experience doing full cycle accounting
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Strong MS Excel skills including pivots, look ups
• College diploma or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration
• Enrolled in the CPA program as an active student is a very big asset
