IFG Pittsburgh is actively recruiting a self-directed Fund Accountant with strong analytical and organization skills to join dynamic company. The Fund Accountant will review balance sheet accounts with several hundred securities to verify values; perform profit and loss portfolio allocations; and calculate fund fees, margin profits, interest and dividend earned. The Fund Account will also assist the accounting team with the monthly, quarterly and year end close procedures for various investment funds.

Requirements of the Fund Accountant

  • Performing price verification/valuation for a diverse portfolio of investments.
  • Preparing monthly NAVs.
  • Performing review of month-end reconciliations and monthly investor statements.
  • Preparing required information for six-month reviews and year-end audits performed by external auditors, including drafting of financial statements.
  • Assisting in the preparation of tax information needed for external tax preparers.

Qualifications of the Fund Accountant
  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting.
  • 2+ years of experience in the financial services industry in an accounting and/or internal audit role.
  • CPA license is preferred.
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel.
  • Able to work independently within a team environment and manage daily and month-end workflows to meet accounting and reporting requirements.
