Financial Reporting Analyst

Our client located in the heart of Mississauga is hiring a Financial Reporting Analyst on a 6-month contract. As a Financial Reporting Analyst, you will be responsible for consolidating and analyzing the financial results of the company while playing a major role in the budget planning process.
 
The main responsibilities include the following;
 

• Prepare and consolidate financial reports, including budgets, forecasts, and business plans.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and potential areas for improvement.
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial reports in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant financial information and support decision-making processes.
• Assist in the development and improvement of financial reporting processes and systems.
• Reconcile financial data to maintain accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders regarding financial reports.
• Stay informed about changes in accounting standards and regulations to ensure compliance.

To be considered for the role, our client is looking for someone with the following skills/qualifications;
 

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or related business field
• Proven experience in financial reporting or a similar role
• CPA designation considered a strong asset
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial software
