Title: Financial Analyst

Duration: 6 Months (high possibility for extension/conversion)
Our client, a Top financial institution in Canada is looking for a Financial Analyst for an initial 6-month contract, with high possibility of extension/conversion.
Responsibilities:
As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for, but not limited to: 
  • Preparing journal entries ensuring proper support is provided
  • Analyze and prepare account reconciliations with proper support
  • Analyze data to ensure accuracy, completeness
  • Documenting processes as needed
  • Seek efficiencies to streamline working papers and processes
  • Prepare tax information from investments for annual tax return
  • Support IFRS17 project as needed
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3-4 years relevant experience within insurance/banking/financial industry
  • College or University Graduate with strong understanding of financial markets
  • Hands on experience with IFRS 17
  • Strong Excel skills including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables with the ability to manipulate large data sets
  • Excellent communication skills, strong team player and a self starter
