Our client, a Top 5 bank in Canada is looking to hire a Copywriter team for an initial 12-month contract with a high possibility of extension and conversion. This role is 5 days a month in the office in downtown Toronto.

Project: Part of pilot POD to bring Copywriting in-house for day-to-day operations.
  • Collaboration within Agile Teams: Actively participate in cross-functional Agile pods to deliver email campaigns through the Sales Force Marketing Cloud platform, managing multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to tight deadlines.
  • Editorial Standards Management: Maintain and update editorial standards, ensuring consistency across all communications, and share these standards with team members for adherence and improvement.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Present and revise copy decks during in-person stakeholder review meetings with executives and partners, leveraging exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to align content with goals.
  • Cross-Disciplinary Coordination: Work closely with designers, translators, developers, and other pod members to understand campaign objectives, technical constraints, and legal/regulatory requirements.
  • Brand Alignment: Ensure all content strictly adheres to CIBC Brand guidelines, enhancing the overall brand consistency and client experience.
  • Simplifying Complex Information: Translate complex business objectives and technical information into clear, simple, and compelling language for diverse audiences.
  • Project Delivery and Execution: Ensure timely execution of deliverables by aligning copy solutions with campaign objectives, incorporating feedback, and following established review and approval processes..

Must-Have Skills:
  • 5+ years of experience writing, editing, proofing copy across various platforms.
  • Degree/diploma in English, Journalism or equivalent experience and certifications
  • Solid understanding of WCAG accessibility requirements and inclusive digital design principles
  • Experience in digital marketing
  • Proficiency in MS Office products

Nice to Have:
  • Familiarity with technologies such as HTML, and content management systems
  • Working knowledge of Sales Force Marketing Cloud
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
