Our client, located in the GTA, is hiring a Controller on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting directly to the President, this hands-on leadership role will oversee all accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, tax, treasury, payroll, and audit functions while leading a small accounting team. The successful candidate will also serve as a strategic business partner to senior leadership by providing financial analysis, operational insights, and business guidance.

As Controller, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the month-end and year-end close, financial reporting, and annual audit.

  • Managing budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, financial planning, and analysis.

  • Overseeing all tax compliance, treasury, payroll, and accounting operations.

  • Leading and mentoring the accounting team while maintaining strong internal controls.

  • Providing strategic financial analysis and recommendations to senior leadership.

  • Managing relationships with external auditors, financial institutions, and other key stakeholders.

To be considered for this role, our client is looking for someone with the following qualifications:

  • CPA designation.

  • 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including leadership responsibilities.

  • Strong financial reporting, FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, tax, and audit experience.

  • Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite experience is considered an asset.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and business partnering skills.
