Our client, a large enterprise organization, is seeking a Content Writer / Content Strategist to support the modernization of internal documentation and training materials across enterprise business applications. This is a 12-month contract opportunity with potential for extension or full-time conversion. The role follows a hybrid work model (3 days onsite - Wednesday, Thursday, and the first Friday of each month) based in Toronto.
This position focuses on rewriting outdated documentation, creating user guides and job aids, and supporting change management communications to improve the overall user experience and content consistency across internal systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Rewrite and modernize system documentation including user guides, job aids, and training materials.
  • Develop clear and structured keystroke guides and process documentation for internal business applications.
  • Establish content standards such as naming conventions, terminology, and instructional patterns.
  • Support change management communications and training materials for system updates.
  • Organize and maintain a modern, user-friendly SharePoint content environment.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to validate and improve documentation.

Must-Have Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in content writing, technical documentation, or content strategy.
  • Experience creating training materials, user guides, job aids, and process documentation.
  • Strong written communication and editing skills with attention to clarity and consistency.
  • Experience working with SharePoint and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple content deliverables in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have
  • Experience within financial services or banking environments.
  • Background in UX writing, technical content strategy, or documentation standardization.
  • Exposure to change management communications or training programs.
