Job responsibilities:
Content Strategy & Research:
- Conduct content strategy tasks and UX research to support projects in their initial phases.
- Perform competitive analysis, content inventories, and usability research.
- Draft usability questions and wireframe copy to guide content decisions.
- Write, edit, and proofread digital content to ensure clarity, consistency, and compliance with brand voice.
- Maintain editorial standards, ensuring content aligns with business goals and user needs.
- Optimize content using SEO best practices to improve visibility and engagement.
- Ensure all copy meets accessibility requirements (WCAG 2.0) and follows plain language principles.
- Manage the editorial workflow, supporting French translation efforts when needed.
- Oversee version control and ensure alignment across multiple digital properties.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including UX and visual designers, product owners, and business stakeholders.
- Conduct content walkthroughs with project teams and external partners, including legal and regulatory groups.
- Provide expertise and guidance on content creation best practices, CMS authoring, and workflow tools.
- Stay updated on emerging web technologies, accessibility standards, and digital content trends.
- Help onboard and mentor team members on editorial workflow and content best practices.
- Contribute to maintaining and updating the content style guide and editorial standards.
Must-Have Skills:
- 5+ years of experience - content editor /content design/UX writing/editorial environment
- Excellent working knowledge of CP Style
- Experience writing for web and/or digital properties
Nice to have:
- Previous banking experience
- Experience with AEM or similar CMS
- Familiarity with enterprise project methodologies and publishing/workflow tools
- Previous experience working with cross-disciplinary teams of UX and Creative Designers, Content Strategists, Product Design Leads and more
- Familiarity with the principles of content strategy and inclusive writing
- Familiarity with WCAG 2.0 Accessibility Standards and plain language principles
- Working knowledge of SEO and user experience
