Our client, a Top 5 Bank in Canada is looking to hire a Consultant for their team with an initial of 12 contract which is renewable. This role is hybrid with 1-2 days week in the office.
  • Conducting people risk assessments and reporting on Risk & Control Self Assessments (RCSA) to ensure compliance with CIBC's Operational Risk Management Programs.
  • Managing and reporting on deficiency management, incident reporting, and risk mitigation efforts within the People, Culture & Brand (PC&B) Lines of Businesses.
  • Performing gap analysis to identify and address potential risks and deficiencies in processes and controls.
  • Providing support and consultation to the PC&B Governance & Risk Management team on risk management initiatives and activities.
  • Assisting the HR Regulatory Affairs team in monitoring and complying with regulatory developments, including updating internal trackers with information from third-party vendors.
  • Conducting visibility checks and responding to regulatory reporting requirements, such as those from Statistics Canada, to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Supporting the execution of Change Initiative Risk Assessments (CIRA) and other operational risk management tasks as needed, ensuring all activities align with CIBC's risk management framework.

Must have skills:
  • 3+ years of expertise in risk management (mainly risk assessments)
  • Proficiency in researching, interpreting and comprehending regulatory changes
  • Experience with regulatory reporting, performing data cleansing and validation tasks
  • Advanced Excel - VLOOKUP's, Pivot tables - Statcan report.

Nice-To-Have Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of Employment Law
  • Banking experience.
