Our client, a major financial institution in Canada is looking to hire a Business Consultant for a 12-month contract. This role is hybrid with 2 days a week in downtown Toronto.
  • Identify, plan, and execute strategic initiatives, programs, and projects that directly improve the performance and efficiency of Mobile Advice and Retail Distribution channels.
  • Utilize Process Improvement methodologies to analyze current processes and identify areas for enhancement, resulting in increased operational efficiency and improved customer experience.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on project teams, providing insights and guidance to develop and implement programs aimed at optimizing end-to-end processes and technology.
  • Apply Change Management methodologies to support and manage business changes, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to daily operations.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including Front-line, Risk, Product, and other business partners, to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities for improving the sales customer experience, contributing to the development and execution of the channel strategy and roadmap.
  • Continuously monitor the performance of processes and services, identifying deficiencies and areas for improvement to enhance efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and profitability.
  • Participate in and facilitate internal and external client meetings at various levels, ensuring clear communication and collaboration among all stakeholders involved in projects and initiatives.

Must have skills:
  • Degree/diploma in Engineering, Business, Information Systems, Accounting and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience with Process Improvement Methodologies/ strategy preferably in banking/ consulting
  • Experience in technology and business process troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of customer segmentation strategies and implications for the customer, employee experience and profitability.
  • Knowledge of approaches, tools and techniques for recognizing, anticipating and resolving organizational, operational or process problems.
  • Strong Word, PPT and Excel skills.
