Our client, a Top 5 Bank in Canada is looking to hire a Business Analyst to their team for an initial 6 month contract. This role is currently hybrid, 2 days per week in Toronto.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Collaborate closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) within business processes to comprehensively identify, document, and meticulously outline existing processes.
  • Take charge of preparing, updating, and curating an action log that precisely tracks the progress and delivery schedule for the assigned portfolio of tasks and projects.
  • Provide regular and transparent project updates to senior management and the program manager, ensuring effective communication of project status and promptly escalating any potential concerns or roadblocks.
  • Engage in proactive problem-solving and decision-making, seeking opportunities to optimize processes and enhance the overall efficiency of Compliance programs.
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years experience with requirements gathering and design methodology and building test cases.
  • Knowledge of Compliance standards and best practices, with use of analysis tools for monitoring.
  • 8+ years experience with data management and governance.
  • 8+ years of experience with project management, able to drive initiatives from planning through execution.
Nice to have:
  • Background in Trade Reporting, Regulatory Reporting.
  • Experience working in a Capital Markets Operations Environment.
  • Experience working with Data or within a Data remediation-oriented project.
  • Ability to convert compliance and regulatory language into actionable delivery tasks for Operations.
  • Financial industry experience
