Our client, a financial institution is looking to hire a Business Analyst, Non IT to their team for an initial 6-month contract with a possibility of extension/conversion. This role is currently hybrid in Toronto.
Your responsibilities include:
  • Collect, document, and manage business requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and execute test strategies, plans, test cases, and expected results in consultation with key stakeholders to ensure initiatives meet expected deliverables.
  • Maintain superior project documentation to support auditability and project transparency.
  • Work independently or with management to identify complex operational business issues and develop creative solutions involving workflow procedures and/or new technologies.
  • Establish relationships with business leaders to determine optimal solutions for complex business needs.
  • Leverage industry knowledge and expertise, as well as external service providers, to support new processes or client requests.
  • Ensure all processes and systems comply with regulatory and compliance requirements for the industry.
  • Maintain focus as priorities change, keeping business needs and strategic importance in perspective.
  • Communicate changes and project updates effectively in an understandable, justified, and acceptable manner.
Must Have Qualifications:
  • 5-7 years of Business Analysis experience within an Application Management environment within the financial services industry.
  • In-depth investment business knowledge, particularly in derivatives trading and operations, with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as a Business Analyst in Derivatives/Investment IT Application Management.
  • Strong understanding of system design, analysis, user acceptance testing, and product improvement methodologies.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to clearly articulate business cases, motivate team members, and negotiate with cross-functional representatives.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a global setting.

Nice to have:
  • Proficiency with systems such as Aladdin**, Findur, Apex is highly desirable.
  • Experience in system integrations and implementations is advantageous.

Education:
  • University degree in Business, Finance, or Computer Science.
  • MBA, CFA, FRM or similar certification is a plus.
