Responsibilities Include:
- Utilize knowledge of front office trading activities to evaluate electronic surveillance system alerts, ensuring their relevance within the market context.
- Engage in discussions with both the vendor and project team to validate the system's outputs.
- Perform ongoing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) across various products, providing feedback on problems, issues, and potential enhancements in a collaborative team environment.
- Acquire expertise in operating the Surveillance system, relevant source systems, and other necessary tools for functional evaluations.
- Collaborate with the BAU (Business As Usual) team to share observations and insights derived from UAT testing.
- Possess 5+ years of experience in foreign exchange, fixed income, commodities, and/or OTC derivatives trading markets, including familiarity with hedging and trading strategies.
- Demonstrate 8+ years of related trading or surveillance experience at a financial institution or regulated securities dealer.
- Showcase 2+ years of regulatory and compliance experience.
- Exhibit previous experience in identifying external market activity, news, and factors influencing trading activities.
- Have at least 5 years of experience in building testing strategies and executing UAT.
- Completion of the Canadian Securities Course, Conduct and Practices Handbook Course, and/or the Trader Training Course is beneficial.
- Possess an understanding of the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) dealer rules.
