Salary Mid-Point: $115,000

You will oversee engagements from planning through completion, review staff work, resolve accounting and reporting issues, and build strong client relationships. The ideal candidate is a CPA with at least four years of public accounting experience and some tax review experience.
***This is a hybrid role that requires you to work 2 days a week in office
The main job duties for the Audit Manager include the following;
- Lead and manage audit, review, and compilation engagements from planning through completion
- Develop engagement plans, budgets, and timelines while ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations
- Review working papers, financial statements, and other client deliverables for accuracy and quality
- Review T1 and T2 tax returns and tax provisions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable tax requirements
- Identify and resolve accounting, auditing, tax, and reporting issues
- Supervise, mentor, and provide feedback to junior team members while supporting their professional development
- Serve as a key client contact, building strong relationships and identifying opportunities to meet evolving client needs
To be considered for this role, our client is looking for someone with the following skills/qualifications;
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting, auditing, and Canadian tax
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities effectively
- Strong communication and client relationship management skills
- A collaborative leadership style with a focus on coaching and developing team members
- Commitment to delivering high-quality work and exceptional client service
- CPA designation is required
- Minimum 4 years of public accounting experience, with a focus on audit, review, and compilation engagements
- Experience with T1 and T2 tax returns and tax provisions is required
- Strong knowledge of Canadian accounting standards and tax requirements
- Experience reviewing financial statements and working papers
- Experience supervising, mentoring, or developing junior staff is an asset
