IFG Pittsburgh is actively recruiting an Accounts Payable Specialist responsible for processing and managing payments for invoices and maintaining accurate financial records related to those transactions. You will work closely with the finance department and vendors to ensure smooth financial operations.

Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Specialist
  • Process and accurately enter high-volume invoices in general ledger, including three-way matching and reconciliation of AP balances.
  • Coordinate weekly ACH, wire, and check payments, and prepare related financial reports.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and other departments to resolve open purchase requisitions and un-invoiced receipts.
  • Identify workflow inefficiencies and recommend improvements to streamline accounts payable operations.
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical records by printing, scanning, and filing vendor invoices, while supporting additional sundry tasks as needed.

Requirements of the Accounts Payable Specialist
  • Associates degree or higher in accounting preferred or comparable experience
  • 1+ year of full cycle accounts payable experience required
  • Previous experience processing AP in an ERP required
  • Must possess strong technical skills with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Must possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Must possess decision-making capabilities, analytical skills, and be a self-starter.
  • Open to learning new processes and systems.
