Our client, a Top 5 Bank in Canada is looking to hire a Project Control Officer to their team for an initial 12 month contract. This role is currently hybrid in Mississauga with Mondays being a core day.
The primary role of an IT Project Control Coordinator is to offer project support to staff and perform general administrative duties as required. A typical IT Project Coordinator is responsible for organizing schedules and overseeing the workflow within or between organizational groups or businesses.
- Coordinate master schedules and work orders, adjusting priorities based on project specifications, workforce availability, and equipment readiness.
- Attend client and task meetings to assess work progress and identify follow-up requirements.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support, including calendar monitoring, meeting arrangements, and expense report filing.
- Compile reports on project progress and downtime for distribution among project personnel.
- Ensure the effective execution of project control procedures and policies across multiple projects, adhering to performance standards.
- Consolidate and integrate Work Breakdown Structure data, reconcile management and resource allocation reports, and track financials for decision-making and response planning.
- 5+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree
- Hands-on experience working with MS project tools, Excel, Word, Power Point, and Visio
- Experience with IT project administration and management
- Experience with Financial tracking or Expense tracking
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Strong analytical and problem solving skill
