IFG-Pittsburgh is actively recruiting a Staff Accountant responsible for timely and accurate processing and management of the accounts payable process to include trade payables, debt and lease obligations. This position also will enter financial transactions into the general ledger, reconciliations, preparing and editing financial reports.

Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant
  • Review all vendor invoices received to obtain proper coding and authorization for processing.
  • Manage the entity's credit card and procurement process for company locations ensuring proper authorization, coding, documentation, and timely disbursement.
  • Assist with month-end close, including posting journal entries, preparing reconciliations, preparing financial reports, and reviewing variances.
  • Prepare and maintain standard and ad hoc reports, queries, and conduct appropriate reviews to ensure data integrity for areas of responsibility.
  • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy, proper coding and approval before entering into Accounts Payable.
  • File and store vendor invoices, payments and documentation in an organized and logical fashion.

Requirements of the Staff Accountant
  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of related experience preferred.
  • General ledger and accounts payable experience required
  • Knowledge of required reporting and documentation related to Vendor Management to include 1099, W-9 and Sales Tax Exemption.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline driven environment
