Our client, located in the Mississauga area is looking to hire a SOx Consultant for an initial 6 month period.  This organization was recently acquired by a public company to needs the support to help them align to the SOx requirements.  Reporting to the Controller and supporting the CFO, the SOx Consultant duties will include, but will not be limited to;

  • SOx and financial reporting
  • Documenting and testing controls
  • Reporting control deficiencies
  • Risk mitigation
  • Working on the information provided by the entity 

To be considered for this role of SOx Consultant, our client is looking for someone who possess the following skills and qualifications;

  • Accounting designation
  • 5 years of experience in SOx compliance
  • Audit background (Big 4 preferred)
  • Above average written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, be very hands on and self directed 

**This role will initially start as 5 days IN office for a couple of weeks, then will move to a hybrid set up requiring travel to the office 3 days a week.
