IFG Pittsburgh is actively recruiting a Senior Accountant responsible for closing process, balance sheet reconciliations, management and financial reporting, audit schedules and audit management, treasury, and variance analysis. In this role you will interact with multiple levels of professionals in both a plant and office environment. The position is best suited for a highly motivated individual with experience in a collaborative environment; someone who thrives on being challenged by and working closely with their colleagues.  The role is hybrid requiring 3 days in the office. 

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant
  • Perform month-end closing activities and financial and management reporting.
  • Complete journal entries and perform account reconciliations.
  • Review and reconcile intercompany transactions.
  • Perform the annual audit process and prepare necessary schedules.
  • Assist in the preparation of ad hoc financial schedules and reports.
  • Perform the daily accounting of cash receipts and disbursements and timely related account reconciliations.
  • Produce reoccurring sales, cash position and profitability reports.

Requirements of the Senior Accountant
  • BS in Accounting or Finance required, Advanced degree preferred
  • CPA and/or advanced Degree highly desirable
  • Three (3) plus years of general accounting experience
  • Large ERP experience
  • Advanced Excel capabilities required
