Responsibilities of the Director of Finance
- Collaborate closely with the executive/senior management team and program directors to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure, including systems, processes, and personnel, to support the organization's growth objectives.
- Provide leadership and oversight of the finance department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Guide the development and management of budgets, financial reports, and analyses to support strategic decision-making.
- Lead, mentor, and support the Finance Team, providing guidance and consultation as needed.
- Promote team development and cross-training among team members to foster a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Oversee daily financial operations, including cash flow management, audit preparation, and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Ensure the implementation of best practices in financial management and controls.
- Identify and implement strategies for financial growth and sustainability, supporting new business units and initiatives.
Requirements of the Director of Finance
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field
- CPA and/or MBA preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a finance leadership role
- Healthcare and/or not for profit experience a major plus
- Advanced excel experience required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with executive leadership and team members.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and developing finance teams, with a focus on fostering professional growth and teamwork
- Keen data analysis and attention to detail and multi-tasking skills in a face-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate professionally with people at all levels of the organization and external contacts.
