Chief Financial Officer

IFG - Pittsburgh is actively recruiting a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) responsible for directing and overseeing the financial activities of the corporation, performing and directing the preparation of current financial reports and summaries, and creates forecasts.  The CFO leads the accounting department to produce monthly financial reports and analysis, budgeting and forecasting and ensure a successful audit. 

Responsibilities of the CFO

• Directs the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports.
• Compares sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; makes or oversees any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.
• Reviews planning process and suggests improvements to current methods.
• Analyzes operations to identify areas in need of reorganization, downsizing, or elimination.
• Works with the President and other executives to coordinate planning and establish priorities for the planning process.
• Studies long-range economic trends and projects their impact on future growth in sales and market share.
• Identifies opportunities for expansion into new product or market areas.
• Oversees investment of funds and works with investment bankers to raise additional capital required for expansion.
• Work with the senior management to efficiently develop proposal budgets, provide access to project finance information, and manage contract/grant compliance and reporting
• Perform risk management through analysis of company liabilities and investments, and evaluate and manage capital structure and fundraising initiatives
• Monitor performance with tracking, establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed reports, both current and forecasting for earnings calls, the management team, and the rest of the company

Qualifications of the CFO

• Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance required
• MBA and/or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation highly desired
• Eight plus years of experience in financial and accounting leadership required
• Banking and/or Financial Services required
• Advanced Excel skills
