Our client, a financial services company is growing immensely via acquisitions.  As a result of a recent one, the Accounting Manager needs an Accounting Assistant for a 12 month period.  In this role the successful candidate will upload and process EFT's, apply them to accounts, generate debit and credit memos for discrepancies, perform daily and monthly reconciliations and answer customer questions.  

To be considered for this role, our client is looking for someone with the following skills/qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in accounting, finance, or relevant field. Open to new graduates
  • Some experience with cash applications even if you did this via a co-op term 
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong Excel skills including VLOOKUPs, Pivot tables, macros are nice to have
*This role requires 3 days in office
