Our client in the hospital and healthcare sector, is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst. This is an exciting opportunity to make your mark and join a renowned organization. As the Senior Financial Analyst, your responsibilities include;
  • Assisting the Finance Manage with all month-end financial reporting tasks including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, monthly/quarterly financial reporting including variance analysis and other ad hoc requests
  • Involvement with internal and external audit preparations, including coordination/preparation of audit working papers
  • Accurately complete all journal entries and reconciliations on a timely basis, with responsibility for reconciling selected higher risk accounts
  • Accurately complete the monthly HST filings and annual charity tax return to the CRA on a timely basis while meeting CRA reporting deadlines
  • Assist with cash flow forecasts
  • Maintain continuity schedules (prepaid expenses, recurring journal, others)
  • Regularly review and improve internal controls

**note this is a hybrid role in office 3 days per week. During the training period the role will be 4-5 days a week in office.
To be considered for this role, our client is looking for someone with the following skills/qualifications;

  • University degree in accounting or a related field, and the CPA professional designation or equivalent
  • Not for profit experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of related working experience is required
  • Experience with large ERPs
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Experience from public accounting
  • A self-starter who can work both independently and/or as a team member with minimal supervision. The successful candidate must have excellent analytical, problem recognition and problem-solving skills
