Salary Mid-Point: $90,000

- Assisting the Finance Manage with all month-end financial reporting tasks including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, monthly/quarterly financial reporting including variance analysis and other ad hoc requests
- Involvement with internal and external audit preparations, including coordination/preparation of audit working papers
- Accurately complete all journal entries and reconciliations on a timely basis, with responsibility for reconciling selected higher risk accounts
- Accurately complete the monthly HST filings and annual charity tax return to the CRA on a timely basis while meeting CRA reporting deadlines
- Assist with cash flow forecasts
- Maintain continuity schedules (prepaid expenses, recurring journal, others)
- Regularly review and improve internal controls
**note this is a hybrid role in office 3 days per week. During the training period the role will be 4-5 days a week in office.
To be considered for this role, our client is looking for someone with the following skills/qualifications;
- University degree in accounting or a related field, and the CPA professional designation or equivalent
- Not for profit experience
- Minimum of 5 years of related working experience is required
- Experience with large ERPs
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience from public accounting
- A self-starter who can work both independently and/or as a team member with minimal supervision. The successful candidate must have excellent analytical, problem recognition and problem-solving skills
