Fixed Asset Accountant

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
  • Lead the clean up of CAPEX and appropriate move to Fixed assets with the guidance from the Sr. Accounting Manager Establish an easy and new process of ensuring correct CAPEX tracking and timely move to Fixed assets
  • Support the completion of the fixed assets physical count and completing the paperwork for any asset's dispositions
  • Work with regional finance teams to timely and proactively resolve data integrity issues
  • Ensure all new fixed assets have been appropriately tagged
  • Support sourcing group in establishing a process/tracking for all of tooling Help with any other ad hoc accounting projects
  • Maintain effective internal control environment to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and compliance with laws and regulations.


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Submission of appropriate reports as required
  • Support colleagues in the Company, across Regional and departmental boundaries to ensure that the Company's goals are achieved
  • Provide cover where required during any period of absence
  • Comply fully with ethics and standard policies
  • Must work within established Company policies and procedures


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Financial/Accounting with +5 years of business experience.
  • Must have a working knowledge of United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
  • Previous work related to capital and fixed assets maintenance preferred Preferred previous manufacturing experience
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and personal interaction skills required
  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized
  • Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have demonstrated the ability to engage business process owners in a direct yet professional manner, thoroughly evaluate business processes, and quickly identify potential control gaps, and implement solutions successfully
  • Ability to think creatively, highly driven and self-motivated
