Our client, a Top 5 Bank in Canada is looking to hire a Data Analyst to their team for an initial 4 month contract. This role is responsible for data analysis including scope determination, reporting and remediation support. 
This role is primarily hybrid 1-2 times a month in-office requirements. 

Responsibilities Include:

  •  Provide data analysis support by means of both repeatable and ad hoc reporting delivery that informs business decisions
  • Working with the Regulatory team to provide weekly reporting and analyzing metrics
  • Utilizing Excel to identify populations within the data based on team needs
  • Providing support for the project at large (determination, reporting and remediation)
Qualifications:
  • Data Analyst (data reporting, analyzing large amounts of data) - 2+ years of professional experience
  • Microsoft Office suite: Outlook, Access, SharePoint(integrating with Access), PowerPoint, Excel (Advanced) o Excel functions: VBA/Macros, Powerquery, Fuzzy Match, Pivot tables, Joining tables, Advanced formulas - 3+ years of hands on experience
  • PowerBI reporting (data analytics & visualization) - 2+ years of hands on experience
  • Experience in reporting KPIs and reconciling large data sets - 2+ years of hands on experience
  • Experience creating dashboards and executive-level reports - 2+ years of hands on experience
Nice-To-Have Skills:
  • Experience working at a global financial institution or asset manager a plus - BA background helpful
  • Familiarity with KYC/AML/Trade Reporting regulations nice to have
  • Experience working with and reconciling Capital Markets or Institutional client transactional data
