IFG Chicago is seeking a Staff Accountant for one of our clients in the communications industry, located in Niles, IL. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for reviewing general ledger accounts and preparing and adjusting journal entries. The Staff Accountant will also act as backup for AR and AP as needed.

Staff Accountant Responsibilities:
  • Recording journal entries
  • Performing month-end balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Assisting with month-end close duties
  • Processing commission calculations
  • AP/AR backup, collections

Staff Accountant Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of related experience
  • Great Plains experience highly preferred
  • Experience with depreciation, prepaid assets and accruals
  • Excel (pivot tables and v-lookups)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication required
