Staff Accountant

Overview
IFG's client in the Western Chicago suburbs is hiring a Staff Accountant with 2-4 years of experience. 

Hybrid Schedule: 0-2 days in person. During non-close weeks, will be in-person on Wednesdays. Close week is done remotely. 

This close the books staff accountant role will assist in maintaining and recording the property, plant & equipment accounting for the company, which is the largest balance sheet line item (~$26 billion), as well as lease accounting.

This person will be integral in capital vs. expense determinations with operation personnel/project managers, which occur on a regular basis and provides for a great opportunity to learn the business.  

This role also gets involved in ad hoc projects, including regulatory filings/data requests, depreciation studies and certain annual studies.  

Experience

• Mid-to-large public accounting experience and/or large public company accounting
• Fixed assets experience is a plus
• CPA/MBA preferred
