IFG's client, a privately-owned real estate and investment management company, is looking for a Senior Accountant OR Accounting Manager to join the team.

Must be hands-on and have strong accounting skills and Excel skills. High potential for upward mobility in a rapidly growing company!

Based in Chicago, you will be an integral part of the Corporate Accounting Team with financial reporting and month-end close. The responsibilities include workpaper preparation, financial reporting and analysis, reviewing fee calculations, capital call review, allocating employee reimbursements and overseeing external accounting firms.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
· Assume ownership of deliverables related to corporate workpapers, capital call process / management, and other ad-hoc reporting as required
· Prepare internal management packages and complete monthly / quarterly analysis
· Calculate and review management, development, construction fees
· Identify and execute on process-improvement opportunities, communicating improvements to management and other internal teams
· Assist in training, reviewing, and providing oversight of corporate accounting and development accounting team
· Develop and maintain a thorough working knowledge of Yardi accounting software
Required Skills and Qualifications:
· Bachelor's Degree in accounting or other business-related field with substantive, relevant work experience
· 5+ years of accounting experience
· Proactive interest in learning, inquiring about, and mastering investment concepts, accounting rules, and service processes required
· Collaborative, team-oriented individual with strong sense of integrity and professionalism
· Ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing tasks and remain poised in a deadline-driven environment
· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Proficient in all other Microsoft Office products.
· Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
