Our client is a niche Private Equity player looking to add to their team an interim Controller for a period of 3-4 months to backfill a leave.  If you have hands on experience within private equity, have supervised a team of 8 and experience with legal entity reporting, then we need to connect.

**note this is an in office role Hybrid to full time

As the Interim Controller, you will lead the day to day activities [general/operational accounting] responsible for all legal entity books and records.  Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to;
  • Review and oversight of 8 staff members with day-to-day general accounting, including accounts payable
  • Coordination and review of third party service providers (SS&C, etc.) and working with third parties to document processes and define roles/responsibilities
  • Review of management fee calculation, allocation of residual profit, review of all fund managers costs, etc.
  • Other ad hoc requests and process improvement initiatives as requested
To be considered for this role, our client is looking for someone with the following skills/qualifications; 
  • CPA [CPA, CA preferred] with relevant experience
  • Ability to go into the office 3 days per week in downtown Toronto
  • Nice to have private equity industry experience
