As the Interim Controller, you will lead the day to day activities [general/operational accounting] responsible for all legal entity books and records. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to;
- Review and oversight of 8 staff members with day-to-day general accounting, including accounts payable
- Coordination and review of third party service providers (SS&C, etc.) and working with third parties to document processes and define roles/responsibilities
- Review of management fee calculation, allocation of residual profit, review of all fund managers costs, etc.
- Other ad hoc requests and process improvement initiatives as requested
- CPA [CPA, CA preferred] with relevant experience
- Ability to go into the office 3 days per week in downtown Toronto
- Nice to have private equity industry experience
