Our client , a top 5 bank, is looking to add a Senior Manager of Accounting in support of their Mortgage Back Security Desk. The manager will be responsible for the attestation of the PnL, month end close and quarterly accounting for the MBS products on both accrual and M2M basis and balance sheet management including SPE accounting. In addition, the Senior Manager will act as a subject matter expert for the MBS team and provide ad hoc reports on regulatory changes, new structures for products and accounting issues.

This role is hybrid and is in the office 1-2 days a week.

To be considered for this role, our client is looking for someone with the following skills/qualifications; 

  • CPA or equivalent designation or work experience
  • Strong knowledge and experience with securitization accounting including IFRS 9
  • Good communication skills
  • Previous people management experience
  • 5+ years experience as an accountant with experience in asset backed securities
