IFG Pittsburgh is actively recruiting a Senior Internal Auditor responsible for internal audits and special projects, which include planning, fieldwork and reporting. It also includes continuous monitoring of company activities, assisting on projects and initiatives, and developing relationships with business leaders. This position has access extensive exposure, including executive management and the Board of Directors.

Responsibilities of the Senior Internal Auditor

  • Performs all aspects of internal audits (financial, operational, compliance).
  • Ensures the test work performed and conclusions reached are adequately documented.
  • Recognizes and proactively communicates potential risks and issues.
  • Makes recommendations for risk mitigation and audit strategies based on identification of potential market, business, financial, credit, operational, IT and talent risks.
  • Knowledgeable about market and regulatory trends that have the potential for substantive impact on organization strategies, policies or risks.
  • Works to build and apply best practices in the field of auditing.
Requirements of the Senior Internal Auditor
  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field
  • Master's degree a plus
  • CPA, CIA or CISA highly preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in auditing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with Visio flowcharting software is a plus
  • IT audit knowledge a plus
