Do you have experience researching relevant accounting guidance to identify key accounting issues and recommend accounting solutions and disclosure requirements for complex and non-routine transactions? The ideal candidate for IFG's client will have extensive knowledge and experience in interpreting and applying US GAAP technical accounting pronouncements.    

Responsibilities:
  • Research and prepare documentation of accounting treatment for various contracts, transactions, and accounting issues under US GAAP 
  • Perform and lead accounting review for complex accounting areas such as purchase accounting, divestiture accounting, intangible asset impairment reviews, and the annual goodwill process
  • Lead and coordinate the preparation, establishment, and compliance with financial policies and guidelines including technical accounting items under ASC 606
  • Training global teams for current policies, new / updated accounting guidance, and other complex areas of accounting
  • Supporting management as the project lead on special projects, ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests requiring technical accounting guidance and leadership
     
Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related required. 
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or willing to obtain
  • 4+ years professional experience within public accounting and corporate experience
