IFG's client, a growing logistics company in the Chicago suburbs, is seeking a Corporate Accounting Manager.

Hybrid 3 days on-site per week.

Position Overview:

The Corporate Accounting Manager assists in preparation of financial statements and ensuring compliance with audit standards. Provide direction on policies, procedures, and continuous improvement objectives as they relate to financial reporting.

·Controlling and Financing Reporting
· Assist with preparation of monthly financial reporting & analysis package.
· Review work and analysis performed by staff and provide guidance on more complex transactions and reconciliations.
· Monthly close process management.
· Responsible for period-end close procedures for assigned balance sheets and income statement accounts for multi-entities.
· Operational accounting oversight and issue resolution.
· Accounting Guidance Implementation.
· Preliminary financial statements distribution and issue resolution.
· Assure timely and accurate reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
· Audit coordination (US consolidated) and foreign statutory audits with assistance from local Finance Managers.
· Payroll
· Posting Payroll Journal Entries and related reconciliations
· Assisting in Sales commissions validation.
· Tax
· Assisting in Income tax information requests
· Estimated tax payments and payment reconciliation
· Special Projects
· Participate and lead special projects and ad hoc reporting requests as needed
· People Manager
· This role will manage/guide at least two team members.

Required Skills:
· Strong analytical and quantitative skills
· Must have balance sheet reconciliation experience
· Must have the ability to analyze numbers and draw logical conclusions
· Must have strong technical accounting background
· Multi-entity, international consolidation experience a plus
· CPA or on track for CPA a plus
· 5+ years of financial management experience, prior experience in financial planning and analysis
· Solid financial management skills including monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, and a commercial sense of business
· Strong work ethic, self-motivated work style attention to detail and enjoy a dynamic environment with new challenges and changing work priorities
· Freight industry experience a plus
· AS400, CargoWise, Microsoft Dynamics AX, and Management Reporter experience a plus
