Scope/Summary Statement: The Senior Manufacturing Accountant will provide accurate financial results in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Job Function Statements:Perform month end closing procedures including journal entries, account analysis, and reconciliations. Analyze sales transactions for compliance with current revenue recognition guidelines, including identification and reclassification of sales and cost of sales associated with these transactions. Produce monthly Financial Statements for review by the CFO and Controller, including various ad hoc operating reports. Review and analyze manufacturing Bill of Materials, standard and average costs, and monthly cost variances in ERP system. Work directly with operations and shop floor to resolve issues. Allocate and record intercompany activity for certain expenditures shared between Divisions. Analyze monthly trial balance and provide reports to Divisional Presidents. Prepare annual LIFO inventory valuation reports and reconciliation to GL Monitor accuracy of monthly inventory cycle counts and lead year-end inventory observation/ test counts with public accountants. Reconcile and resolve findings. Prepare work papers for year-end audit and assist with audit, as necessary. Assist the Controller with annual budget process. Prepare personal property tax returns. Perform other such duties as assigned by the CFO and Controller.
LEAD RESPONSIBILITY STATEMENT: Work with key management leaders to be efficient and effective with their production flow and procedures.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: BS in Accounting required, CPA or CMA a plus
