Salary Mid-Point: $70,000

IFG is actively recruiting a Senior Accountant who is a key contributor to external reporting, financial accounting, and period-end closing processes.  This individual will execute key deliverables in accordance with U.S. GAAP, Company policies and procedures, and applicable state and federal regulations. This individual will partner with the controller to ensure complete, accurate and timely financial statements, while also driving and enabling change related to their areas of responsibility. 

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant

  • Prepare assigned monthly journal entries.
  • Prepare assigned account reconciliation.
  • Review and reconcile monthly inventory transactions.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Sourcing teams on inventory activities.
  • Design, document and maintain internal control processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports for external parties of interest.
  • Maintain fixed asset system.
  • Assist in posting End of Day entries.
  • Assist in preparation for year-end audit.
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Back up for Accounts Payable activities.

Requirements of the Senior Accountant

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Management and three years related accounting and general ledger experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Thorough understanding of financial controls.
  • Excellent computer skills in Excel, Word, Office 365, Accounting software and Inventory software. Exposure to business intelligence tools a plus.
  • Experience with warehouse or distribution business.
  • Excellent organizational, reasoning, mathematical and communication skills.
