Summary
The Senior Financial Analyst will report to the Manager, FP&A in developing and updating monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc financial reports, budgets, forecasts and analysis for both internal and external business partners and company leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a working knowledge of the business operations to properly interpret financial results and develop budget/forecast models.
- Monitor and explain business initiative and acquisition performance.
- Identify through analysis opportunities for improvement and recommend alternatives.
- Support business leadership with ad hoc financial analyses.
- Develop financial models to track KPIs, benchmarks and set targets.
- Provide support for all planning, budgeting, forecasting, modeling, analytical, and reporting functions.
- Effectively utilize company systems to query necessary data for analysis and reporting.
- Consolidate data from multiple ERP systems and validate information across all reports and financial systems.
- Assist with preparation of presentations for senior management and board of directors.
- Track monthly performance against departmental and overall company budgets.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field
- 2-5 years of related experience
- Demonstrated ability to articulate business results and prepare business cases
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience with SAP, QAD or Solomon preferred
- Experience with financial reporting tools such as Hyperion preferred
- Access/ACL and PowerPoint skills preferred
- Detail-oriented, with the highest standards of accuracy and precision
- Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Exceptional organizational, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all departments and levels of management.
- Ability to work in a fairly independent role
